Pada hari itu (hari Sabtu) bahawa Recep Tayyip Erdogan telah melakukan sesuatu yang luar biasa hebat dan tidak semua orang mampu melakkannya!Beliau menjadi pemimpin Islam pertama yang menempelak tindakan Israel menyerang dan membunuh rakyat Gaza secara berdepan dengan Presiden Israel, Shimon Peres di Forum Ekonomi Dunia di Davos, Switzerland. Beliau yang menjadi panelis dalam sebuah debat tersentuh sensitiviti muslimnya apabila Peres mereka-reka alasan justifikasi pembunuhan dan pembantaian terhadap umat Islam Gaza.
